in Third Grade, the students were challenged to
write a poem for Charlie Bucket, the central character
of "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory."
He was the only character that did not have a song
in the novel by Roald Dohl.
Side note - I often wonder if the students think about my
costumed appearances after the event.
Is it worth it?
Silly me! - My wondering was answered!
The next morning, as soon as the day began,
into the library bounced a beautiful third grade friend
with her freshly composed poem.
What a treat! Indeed - better than chocolate!
