Global Read Aloud - Eric Carle Author Study

This year was our first attempt to be part of a fantastic program called "Global Read Aloud."
Several classrooms took part in reading aloud novels such as "Marty McGuire" and
"Out of my Mind."  In the library, we concentrated on an an author study of Eric Carle with
the Pre K, Kindergarten and First Grade students.

The students listened to the same stories being read in classrooms all around the world.
They compare the illustrations and literary elements as they enjoyed the tales.

Next year, we aim to have direct contact with other classes throughout the project through
Skype and other methods of connecting.
