offers ideas for connecting reading and writing
in classroom settings. This week as a followup
Veterans Day activities, students in 4th and
5th grades created whole class poems inspired
by the services of those in the armed forces.
It was exciting to watch as several students in each class
chose to continue the joy of composing by writing their
own individual biography poems to reflect on their thoughts
about veterans.
